Ayup! I'm Joe Coales a full time Wedding Photographer from Nottingham. I specialise in fun, creative and stylish documentary Wedding photography for easy going couples in love.
WHere did your love of photography come from?
Growing up there was always some form of camera lying around for me play with, it fuelled my interest and pushed me to study all aspects of Photography and Film-Making. I love taking photographs as much as possible because it allows me to engage with the world and express as much creativity as possible.
WHATS THE THING YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT being a wedding photographer?
Firstly, being asked to capture such an important and life defining celebration is always a pleasure and a privilege. Whilst I’m entrusted with photographing one of the biggest days in a families lives it’s also my responsibility to not impose myself and become a distraction. I love being able to capture the significance of moments without directly affecting them and I feel lucky that I can do that for a living.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT FROM YOUR COMPETITION?
I pride myself on being able to capture what a couple wants from their wedding no matter the style or size. I don’t impose myself or try to be part of the wedding unless i’m asked, my style is to blend in and capture the moments you may not expect but to always capture the moment you are expecting. I’ve been working with cameras for 16 years plus, shooting for all sorts of eclectic brands and companies. and i’ve also been there to capture many beautiful wedding days. I feel my experience, passion and geekiness about all things cameras has not only developed my skills with the equipment I use but my eye for detail and professionalism.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR wedding photography SERVICES?
No matter who I'm shooting a wedding for, I always ensure I offer the same high standard of personal service. From initial conversation to navigating the day itself and the final images, they receive the best possible work and professionalism.
Always trying to use the latest in digital technology and high end professional camera equipment means my couples will always receive the highest quality no matter how large or small the wedding.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE for your weddings?
Ensuring quality and efficiency during shooting and post production is paramount, so always strive to keep up with the latest tech advances in all forms of still and moving imagery. Flagship Nikon cameras and Nikkor lens are my tools of choice.
