Dan & Claire, Tipi Wedding in Gunthorpe

First stop in the morning was to Claire and Dan’s house in Hollygate to shoot the bride and her gang of bridesmaids getting ready. The vintage London bus arrived shortly before it was time for me to head over the All Saints Church in Cotgrave to meet Dan and his best men. After the service we had group shots in the grounds and then all boarded the bus to a field in Gunthorpe. After a short walk across the fields we arrived at the stunning Tipi setup. The rest of the afternoon/evening and night was spent in full party mode and it couldn’t have been set in a more fitting place. Tipi weddings are amazing!

Hollie & Ed, The Pumping House Ollerton Wedding Photography

On a blazing hot summer day at The Pumping House in Ollerton I had the pleasure of photographing the Marriage of Hollie & Ed. The Pumping House is a recently developed venue hidden away on the edge of Sherwood Forest . It’s a Grade II listed building that has been stunningly refurbished into one of the best venues i’ve ever worked in. It’s a dream for photographers, everywhere you look there is somewhere to capture an interesting shot.

Claire & Lee, Prestwold Hall Wedding Photography , Loughborough

Prestwold Hall is a striking Grade 1 listed stately home in the Leicestershire Wolds. It’s a wonderful venue for weddings because of the abundance of interesting rooms and backdrops for photography. Claire & Lee got hitched here on a windy and sunny spring day.

Sarah & Rob, Priest House Hotel, Castle Donnington

The Preist House Hotel is a gorgeous little venue hidden away on the banks of the River Trent. It’s history can be traced back almost 1,000 years! It was clear from the first meeting we had that Sarah and Rob were a perfect match. The ceremony and the reception were held at Priest House which can accommodate both easily. The day went brilliantly and I had a great time shooting all the best bits.

Amy & Craig, Arnot Hill House Summer 18

Arnot Hill house is a spectacular old building situated in the beautiful Arnot Hill Park in Nottingham. The park acts as the perfect backdrop for wedding day photography, with many individual areas to capture beautiful photos. The day started with an incredibly dramatic Thunderstorm, drenching everything and everyone arriving at the venue. Everyone was in great spirits though and I think the power of the storm added a wonderful energy to the day. After a wonderful ceremony we moved onto Elwes Arms pub in Carlton a proudly independent and family run establishment that's perfectly set up to host wedding receptions. I really loved the vibe of the whole day. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Potter!

Jo & Danny, Norwood Park, Autumn 17

Jo & Danny's wedding was one that was organised and prepared in swift and effective fashion. I received an email from Jo in June and they were married 3 month later! Due to the short notice I'm glad I still had the date free because it was a great wedding with even better people. The venue of choice was the splendid Norwood Park in Southwell. It's a country house steeped in history, experiencing various owners and guises over hundreds of years. All of this character lends itself beautifully to photography. Everywhere you look there is an interesting background or location to take portraits, it really is a gift for photographers.

Sarah & Chris, West Bridgford Park, Summer 17

I think this one is most memorable wedding of this summer. I had the pleasure of photographing a beautifully intimate wedding for Chris & Sarah. They had their reception at the newly refurbished West Bridgford Registry office which is a beautiful Georgian Building set in the lovely Bridgford park. Sarah & Chris chose to have their reception in their back garden in a village just outside Nottingham. Not only did they design and create a wonderful setting for their guests the whole day had a closeness and warmth to it.

Lauren & Damien, Bestwood Lodge Hotel. Summer 2017

English summers are hit and miss most of the time. Picking a date somewhere in June/July/August will give you the best shot at getting good weather for your wedding day. Lauren & Damien picked July and it turned out to be one of the hottest weekends of the year. It was hotter than the sun! Luckily Bestwood Lodge Hotel has air-conditioning which was a huge relief for everyone. The day was huge success, laughing & smiling people everywhere I looked. The ceremony took place in the on-site Chapel which is a beautifully unique space. The reception was in the Ballroom, the largest suite. The access to the large patio and gardens made it really easy to get all the group shots and couples shots. It was a great day with great people.

Leigh & Jason, Cockliffe Country House Hotel Wedding Photography

For a long time the only pictures I ever shot of Jason were of him riding bikes in wild and extreme places across the UK and Europe. This time however it was very different. The wheels had been swapped for rings and the mountain trails for Church pews. Leigh & Jason were married at the All Saints Church in Annesley before celebrating at the Cockliffe County House Hotel. Here's a few of my favourites from the day.
